What to expect at Focus 2017

Christian Science

Whether you are fairly new to Christian Science or have been studying it your whole life, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share inspiration and learn more about how you can apply it to your everyday life. There will be 6 talks given by Christian Science lecturers, discussion groups to ask questions and share ideas, and a panel discussion for the more difficult topics. There will also be Church and Sunday School as well as hymn sings, and other fun events.

The activities at Focus range from the chilled out to the adventurous, and you can choose whether you want to explore all the options or just stick to one or two. Without giving too much away, there will be a variety of art and music options, as  well as sports, a climbing wall, mountain biking and paddle-boarding!

Focus will be held at Newton Rigg Agricultural College in Penrith. It is a spacious campus with beautiful gardens and good grub. The accomodation will be split between boys and girls (unless you are bringing your spouse), and all the rooms are single with ensuite facilities. There will be house parents, two Christian Science practitioners and a Christian Science nurse available on campus throughout Focus.
